The Motion Box was created by Victoria Lopez, an animator and educator with over a decade of experience bringing characters to life in the video game industry.
Her work has contributed to major titles including Call of Duty, Madden, and God of War: Laufey, as well as Judas, from the creator of BioShock.
After years of working in fully digital animation pipelines, Victoria started asking herself a question: What if animation could live outside the screen? What if drawings could loop endlessly in the real world - something you could hold, watch, and collect? What if people could get to appreciate the magic of animation in the palm of their hands?
That answer became The Motion Box: a small mechanical device where illustrated frames turn into living, screenless motion.
